Robertson is a physician and Professor in the Department of Surgery at UAMS Medical Center.Dr. Robertson received his bachelor's degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His post-graduate education included a fellowship in the Trauma & Critical Care unit at UAMS Medical Center.He is currently the medical director of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course sponsored by the UAMS Department of Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.Dr. Robertson is board-eligible for the American College of Surgeons and was the recipient of the Robert M. Bransford, M.D., Memorial Award for Outstanding Chief Resident in General Surgery in 1995 as well as the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award winner in 1994. At UAMS, Dr. Robertson serves on the Academic Affairs Committee and the Multidisciplinary Committee on Pain Management.He is also a member of the Arkansas Medical Society, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
